I was just a child when my parents decided to start what would be our family business in 1983. With a lot of care, passion and effort, we managed to make our modest café, and later restaurant, a landmark in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Slowly, with experience and knowledge that are only granted by time, what is now Mesón Los Ángeles was evolving: tradition, quality and service. A life’s work.

My name is Jose Ángel, or just Jose, however you prefer to call me. I’m the enthusiastic person in charge of this place that has been so hard for my family and me to build up. We didn’t do it on our own, we have always had committed colleagues by our side, who put their shoulder to the wheel when needed. Some, like Chago, have already retired, and others are sadly no longer with us, like Jose Belinchón, who we will always remember with special fondness.

Today, I have a loyal and efficient team by my side, who works hard to move Los Ángeles forward. Our waiters, Berna, Berti, Lolo, Rainer and Ricardo, will give your our characteristic welcome. You will find them behind the bar or waiting tables that each day become a spectacle of flavours from the best of Canarian and Mediterranean cuisine. Jose, Laly, Maty and Mily are in charge of our recipes, and prepare our dishes each day with love and professionalism. Remember that our stoves are on from 12.00p.m. to 12.00 a.m.

Mesón Los Ángeles is a space designed for your enjoyment at any time of the day. Try an Iberian ham sandwich and a barraquito coffee for breakfast, baked cuttlefish with garlic sauce for lunch, a crispy slice of toast with mushrooms, almogrote and acorn-fed Iberian ham for a snack, or a juicy rib steak to share at a quiet dinner for two. What do you say? We take orders, we have a daily menu and you can order any of our dishes to go. We also have WiFi and free parking in the Greco carparks.
